My name is Pedro Ramos, and I am a Ph.D. student in Animal Breeding and Genetics at the University of Vicosa, Brazil. Additionally, I am a research scholar in the animal breeding and genetics group at the University of Georgia (UGA). I have been working on beef cattle breeding projects for several years. My research focuses on using phenotypic, pedigree, and genomic information to improve livestock production. I am specifically involved in large-scale data analysis, quantitative genetic and genomic analysis, variance components estimation, and genomic selection.
