Aghata Silva is a postdoctoral research fellow at Auburn University. She completed her bachelors in Animal Science and her Master degree with emphasis in grazing beef cattle nutrition. At the University of Nevada, Reno, Aghata finished her PhD in animal and rangeland science focusing on how the diet can influence water requirements and nitrogen metabolism of animals, as well as the genes related to it. Her current research mainly focuses on ruminant metabolism, in vitro rumen fermentation, and use of secondary metabolites on ruminants diets.
