Dr. WenZhu Yang is a Research Scientist working for Agriculture and Agri‐Food Canada (AAFC) at the Lethbridge Research and Development Centre (LeRDC), Alberta, Canada. He conducts multi-disciplinary research projects which include: development of feeding strategies for improving feed efficiency and production of ruminant; evaluating requirements of physically effective fibre and ruminal fermentability of feeds to reduce rumen acidosis and to improve animal health; developing novel feed additives such as plant-derived compounds, feed enzymes, probiotics as rumen modifiers to reduce the use of antibiotics and growth promoters in ruminant. He has a large network of collaboration nationally and internationally and has contributed to the training of many undergraduate and graduate students.
