Dr. Josef J. Gross is group leader and lecturer at the Veterinary Physiology group of the University of Bern, Switzerland. He received his PhD from the Technical University of Munich in animal nutrition and physiology. His research activities address transition dairy cow health and metabolism, colostrum quality, the impact of nutrients and metabolites on adaptation physiology, and metabolic robustness of high-yielding dairy cows.
