Fuquan Zhang has graduated with MSc in Animal Science in China and now is a PhD student studying at Department of Animal and Poultry Scienc, University of Saskatchewan. He has been working in animal agriculture for 6 years after his graduation with MSc from Inner Mongolia Agricultural University in June 2015. Fuquan have developed great interest in beef cattle management particularly in cow-calf and finishing during his first job working for a feedlot company. And after that he has worked in feed additive industry for 4.5 years mainly focusing on yeast and probiotics utilization in monogastric animals. Fuquan’s project investigates the effects of including hybrid rye grain and silage in substitution for barley grain and silage on nutrient utilization and performance in backgrounding and finishing beef cattle.
