Nikita Payne is a MSc Candidate with the Animal and Poultry Science department of the University of Saskatchewan and a DVM student with the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM).
Her research focusses on beef cattle nutrition and sustainability by working to understand the behavioural and physiological characteristics which identify beef cattle to be more efficient.
Nikita completed her Animal Biology degree at the University of British Columbia in 2019. After which she moved to Saskatchewan where she worked as a research technician for Dr. Gabriel Ribeiro before commencing her MSc. Currently Nikita is working to complete her MSc while also attending the WCVM to obtain her DVM degree.
