Currently, Dr. Uzzaman is investigating on galectin gene variants for small ruminants’ health and adaptation.
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Uzzaman served in two post-doctoral positions at National Institute of Animal Science (NIAS) and Chungbuk National University (CNBU), South Korea. His role was to develop biomarkers for increase of litter size in pigs while he was in NIAS. Again, while working at CBNU he was engaged in identifying genomic regions of functionally important biomarkers for growth & meat quality traits in Korean native cattle.
