James L. Klotz, earned a PhD in 2004 working with Dick Heitmann in animal science at University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In 2004 Klotz joined the USDA, ARS, Forage-Animal Production Research Unit in Lexington, KY. Since then, Dr. Klotz has worked in nutritional physiology studying the effects that plant and fungal secondary metabolites have on digestive and vascular function in grazing livestock.
