Focus: Developing genomic evaluation pipeline for Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease resistance in Penaeus. vannamei
Goals: To genetically improve traits of economic importance in aquaculture to breed for better disease resistance and livestock production. Currently, my thesis focuses on improving disease resistance to Acute hepatopancreatic necrosis in shrimps using genomic selection techniques. The outcomes of my research will assist shrimp farmers to selectively breeding animals for better disease resistance.
