McKensie Phillips is an instructor and PhD student in the University of Wyoming Animal Science Department. Her research investigates the chemical and sensory properties of beef and lamb, with emphasis in understanding breed-type and cookery method contributions to flavor and tenderness. She teaches courses in animal and food science. She prioritizes lab-based learning opportunities that compliment student's understanding of science-based principles within food and animal disciplines.
