Mrs. Viraji Bandara Warnasooriya is a graduate student at the Department of Animal and Poultry Science, University of Saskatchewan, Canada. After completing her bachelor’s degree (2016) at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, she was hired as an Assistant lecturer at the same university (2018).
Viraji is a curious learner, a passionate educator, and a nature lover. She has professional experience in planning and conducting field and laboratory experiments on dairy cattle nutrition, including ruminal fermentation characteristics, microbial protein production, total tract nutrient digestibility and nitrogen balance. Proficient in Microsoft Office package and SAS statistical software. Viraji has been awarded Aquatic Resource Development Project Scholarship for the best performance in Aquatic Resources Management undergraduate research project. She was an executive committee member of the Sri Lanka Association of Animal Production, the E-learning committee of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya and Assistant Secretary of the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya. In addition, from 2017-2019, Viraji was a resource person for the Study Abroad International Program offered by Sultan Qaboos University, Oman and Aquinas College of Higher Studies, SL.
