Larissa Alves Koulicoff is a Ph.D. student in the Pet Food Program at Kansas State University. She received her bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil, and her master's degree in Animal Science with an emphasis on meat science from Kansas State University. During her undergraduate program, she supported research in the area of ruminant nutrition and meat quality, and then for her master's research she was able to focus on meat science and evaluate the effect of extended aging on the intramuscular connective tissue. In 2023, started her Ph.D. and is currently focusing on companion animal nutrition and the safety of minimally processed pet food.
