Max Griesgraber is a PhD candidate at West Virginia University in the department of Physiology, Pharmacology, and Toxicology working under the mentorship of Drs. Stanley Hileman and Robert Goodman. Research interests mainly focus on the neuroendocrine control of luteinizing hormone secretion in sheep through kisspeptin signaling. Specific projects include the role of KNDy and Kiss1R-containing neurons in the generation of LH pulses and the preovulatory LH surge, the role of kisspeptin in puberty onset, and the integration of metabolic cues into the reproductive axis.
